• If the donor was on iron tablets if symptom free – even if the donor has not been for follow up since completing the treatment (as a repeat blood test may not have been done unless the person remained symptomatic)

DEFER:

• If on iron tablets for treatment of anemia, whether prescribed or self-prescribed
