HUMAN PAPILLOMA VIRUS (HPV) diagnosed on cervical smear

 ACCEPT:

  • If donor does not have cervical dysplasia / cervical carcinoma in situ
  • If donor is having regular smears but no treatment is required
  • If treatment for cervical dysplasia / cervical carcinoma in situ is completed and the donor has been discharged to routine screening. It is not necessary to wait for a normal smear results

 DEFER:

  • If donor is undergoing investigations or treatment

 PERMANTENTLY EXCLUDE:

  • If the donor was diagnosed with invasive cervical carcinoma

 

HUMAN PAPILLOMA VIRUS (HPV) sexual contact with an infected person

ACCEPT:

  • If donor’s sexual partner has been diagnosed with HPV
