NOTES
If used for an indication other than those listed here, accept or defer depending on the underlying condition
ACCEPT:
- If used for the treatment of controlled hypertension
- If used for prophylaxis of migraine
- If used for anxiety unless the donor is experiencing symptoms related to treatment or to the underlying condition
- If the donor is using eye drops containing beta-blocker
PERMANENTLY EXCLUDE:
- If used for the treatment of cardiovascular disease
- If used to control symptoms of thyroid disease
NB: If the donor is accepted there is no need to check the pulse rate as long as they have no symptoms of light-headedness or feeling faint
