NOTES

If used for an indication other than those listed here, accept or defer depending on the underlying condition

ACCEPT:

• If used for the treatment of controlled hypertension
• If used for prophylaxis of migraine
• If used for anxiety unless the donor is experiencing symptoms related to treatment or to the underlying condition
• If the donor is using eye drops containing beta-blocker

PERMANENTLY EXCLUDE:

• If used for the treatment of cardiovascular disease 
• If used to control symptoms of thyroid disease 

NB: If the donor is accepted there is no need to check the pulse rate as long as they have no symptoms of light-headedness or feeling faint
