ACCEPT:

• If donor is using nicotine replacement (patches, sprays, gums etc), bupropion (Zyban), varenicline (Champix) or other similar medication, IF they are feeling well AND if they don’t continue to smoke

DEFER:

• If the donor is experiencing symptoms related to smoking cessation treatment

Anti-smoking treatments can cause dizziness and nausea. Taking a donation from people who are affected, may make these symptoms worse
