Use of PrEP may interfere with testing for HIV by delaying seroconversion or giving unclear results in a positive donor

PrEP is the use of  oral antiretroviral pre-exposure prophylaxis to reduce the risk of acquisitions for HIV in adults. PrEP is recommended as one preventative option for sexually active adults at substantial risk of HIV acquisition (CDC)

Confirm by questioning that such donors have fully understood the HIV exclusion criteria
