NOTES

If medication contains aspirin: exclude donation for platelet preparation and neonatal donation if last medication taken within five days of donation. If medication is anti-inflammatory : exclude donation for platelet preparation and neonatal donation  if last medication taken within two days of donation

ACCEPT:

• If underlying reason for pain management is not a deferral

DEFER:

• If donor has an implanted pain control device, e.g. a spinal stimulator under the skin
