  • If donor has been diagnosed with Lymphogranuloma Venereum

LYMPHOGRANULOMA VENEREUM (LGV) sexual contact with an infected person

 PERMANENTLY EXCLUDE:

  • If the donor was not clinically diagnosed with LGV following sexual contact, but was treated empirically

REFER:

  • If the donor did not require treatment for LGV following sexual contact

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

LGV is a sexually transmitted disease caused by Chlamydia trachomatis. It is a subtype of genital ulcer diseases that include other STDs such as syphilis and chancroid. It is characterised by genital papules or ulcers and inguinal or femoral lymphadenopathy
