GUILLAIN-BARRE SYNDROME

GUILLAIN-BARRE SYNDROME

ACCEPT:

  • Persons who received intravenous immunoglobulin in the United Kingdom prior to 01 January 1980 if no other contraindication applies
  • If a minimum of 2 years have elapsed since the person made a full recovery

 PERMANENTLY EXCLUDE:

  • If the doctor who managed the person cannot confirm a typical monophasic Guillian-Barré Syndrome from which the person recovered completely within 12 months
  • If the person was treated with plasma exchange in or outside the Republic of Ireland at any time
  • If the person was treated with intravenous immunoglobulin in the UK on or after 01 January 1980
