ACCEPT:

A clinical decision must be made based on:

• The donor’s donation status (New, returning, regular)
• The outcome of previous donations
• Donor’s history of adverse events
• The time the donors has last eaten
• Donor’s normal eating patterns

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Donors are asked if they have eaten in the 3 hours prior to donation.  If not, snacks are available at clinic. Donors must be advised to drink at least 500mls of fluid before donating
