PERMANENTLY EXCLUDE:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Lymphatic filariasis is a parasitic disease caused by microscopic thread like worms. The adult worms only live in the human lymph system. Lymphatic filariasis is spread from person to person by mosquitoes. Infected people can be asymptomatic and may never develop clinical symptoms and therefore donors with a history of filariasis must be permanently excluded to maintain recipient safety
