ACCEPT:

• If donor has osteoarthritis and can climb on the donor bed unaided
• If donor has osteoarthritis and is not in severe pain on the day of donation
• If donor has osteoarthritis and is taking NSAIDs. Note not suitable for platelet use
• If the donorhad Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and is now completely well and off all medication.

DEFER:

• For 24 hours If hyaluronic acid has been injected into joints and the donor is well.

PERMANENTLY EXCLUDE:

• If donor has Rheumatoid Arthritis.
