If donor has osteoarthritis and can climb on the donor bed unaided
If donor has osteoarthritis and is not in severe pain on the day of donation
If donor has osteoarthritis and is taking NSAIDs. Note not suitable for platelet use
If the donor had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and is now completely well and off all medication.

DEFER:

For 24 hours If hyaluronic acid has been injected into joints and the donor is well.

PERMANENTLY EXCLUDE:

If donor has Rheumatoid Arthritis.
