NOTES

All donors who have had any anaesthetic, i.e. general, local or sedation for a minor procedure should be deferred for a minimum of 24 hours thereafter. The underlying condition for which the anaesthetic was given may, in itself, be a reason for longer or permanent deferral

ACCEPT:

• If the donor is not currently being treated and there are no unhealed areas or open wounds

 DEFER:

• For 2 weeks after full recovery and conclusion of treatment
• If treatment has left unhealed areas or open wounds
