Leading Lights Lecture Series

This lecture series launched in 2023 will bring you information from international experts. It is a combined initiative of the Education & Training and the Research & Development departments and is led by Louise Breslin & Dr. Allison Waters

Aim

  • Facilitate the sharing of knowledge from experts in blood transfusion, and all its allied fields, to the Irish Blood Transfusion Service and its partners
  • Maximise our capacity for developing our services, growing collaborations and challenging the status quo

Join us on the 4th September 2025 at 12 o’clock for a Leading Lights Lecture from HHT Ireland – “more than just a nosebleed!”

Registration form below.

HHT Ireland is a voluntary patient support organisation that was set up in the memory of the late Grace Nolan and the late Paul Woods.  The patient organisation is here to help all families living with HHT.

This Leading Lights Lecture will examine HHT genotypes & phenotypes, the difficulties in diagnosing HHT, living with the condition, the role of the IBTS in the management of treatment of HHT patients and much more – we hope you can join us on the day!

HHT Ireland has four core objectives:

1. Raise awareness.
2. Provide support to affected families.
3. Advocate on behalf of HHT families for improved services in the treatment of HHT.
4. Help identify undiagnosed HHT patients.

Mission Statement of HHT Ireland: “To raise awareness of HHT (Hereditary Haemorrhagic Telangiectasia) and provide support for the people affected by HHT and their families.”
